Reaching Out

HG people who suffer from C-PTSD or other trauma related issues, often develop ways to get around their daily problems and limitations.

Using survival tactics and coping mechanisms, they seem to function normal apart from an occasional outburst or anger episode.

This might work fine for years but in some cases, like mine, it all of sudden doesn't any more. The anger becomes overwhelming, none of the coping mechanisms or survival tactics work and finding new ones becomes impossible.

That is the moment they reach out for help and that's where the real problem starts, as diagnosis of C-PTSD is difficult and often leads to wrong diagnoses like BPD, OCD and a rang of other anxiety disorders.
